Receiving Tax Refund via Bank Account is so Convenient!

According to the Shalu Office of National Taxation Bureau of Central Taiwan, Ministry of Finance, any individual who files the previous year's annual income tax before May 31 of the current financial year and estimates to have a tax refund could fill out his/her bank account details while filing the income tax. After auditing, the tax office will credit the refund to his or her bank account via bank transfer. It is more convenient than collecting the refund check from the tax office.

Those who apply to receive their tax refund via bank transfer must use a NT-dollar-denominated account of a banking institution or Chunghwa Post Co., Ltd. The account should be under the name of the taxpayer, the taxpayer’s spouse, or dependent and has been opened with the use of an ROC ID No. or an ARC ID No.

Shalu Office would like to remind taxpayers that, in order to ensure the successful transfer of the refund, be sure to check the accuracy of account information and do not terminate the account before receiving the refund.
