Remind Those Who Have Not Yet Filed 2024 Alien Individual Income Tax to Seize the Time to Complete Tax Declaration Obligation on Time.

The Shalu Tax Office, National Taxation Bureau of the Central Area, Ministry of Finance express that the alien individual income tax returns for the year 2024 will be ended on June 30 this year. Foreign taxpayers are urged to seize the time  to complete their tax filing obligations on time.

The Office explains that, during the period of filing the individual income tax returns (from May 1 to June 30, 2025), foreign taxpayers may visit the e-Filing and Tax Payment Service of the Ministry of Finance (https://tax.nat.gov.tw) to download the e-Filing program and use the software to file the tax return on the Internet. In addition, taxpayers using Mac computers, Linux computers, or tablets may also use the online version to file tax returns.

The Office reminds that, after completing the online filing, all supporting documents, such as those for dependent relatives, labor compensation from overseas employers, and itemized deductions, should be sent to the local taxation bureau before July 10, 2025.

According to the Office, foreign taxpayers may file tax returns online and pay taxes by credit card or ATM card, which is safe, time-saving, and convenient, and they no longer need to wait in line at the office.
